It happened again, I bought a pair of white sneakers, and as soon as I paid, the regret set in; They're canvas, they won’t last. I shouldn’t have bought them.
That same feeling inspired the creation of MUU:D. There was a gap in the market: sneaker cleaning solutions weren’t good enough.
First Design
I collaborated with a chemical lab to develop a high-performance sneaker cleaner, leading the project from concept to execution, and handling logo creation, branding, and label design. Then I launched an Instagram-focused campaign to introduce the product.
The logo
The goal was to communicate trust and simplicity (just like the product itself), so I opted for a minimal and fresh look, using bright and clean colors to emphasize care and quality.
Engaging the first followes
To grow our initial follower base on a budget, I started with an organic campaign, identifying posts from accounts in Mexico featuring dirty sneakers or messy situations. I offered a discount code in exchange for a follow.
Once I had built a fanbase, I successfully utilized Instagram’s automated ad tool to target an audience with similar interests to our already existing followers.
Website launch
I built a Shopify site designed for a seamless shopping experience, leading to a 100% positive review rate in the first year.
First year, fresh look
After a year of flawless reviews and 1.5 kits sold daily, it was time for a much-needed packaging refresh.
The new packaging
I redesigned the packaging and labels to comply with Mexican standards while maintaining brand identity and quality. Additionally, I enhanced the packaging durability to prevent damage during shipping.
Social Media
The social media strategy was focused on showcasing MUU:D’s amazing results, demonstrating its use, and inspiring people to explore new ways of using the product.
Brand Aesthetic
By prioritizing a youthful, fresh, and trustworthy look while also showcasing expertise and leadership, every graphic asset was carefully crafted to resonate with the audience, establishing credibility and authority in the sneaker care industry.
